NovaMed Medical Clinic uses a secure AI-enabled documentation tool to assist physicians with clinical note-taking during patient encounters.
What this means for you. During your visit, a secure documentation tool helps your physician write the clinical note. It does not diagnose you, it does not decide your treatment, and your physician reviews and approves everything written about your care.
How the technology is used
The technology is used solely for documentation purposes and does not make diagnoses or clinical decisions. All AI-assisted documentation is reviewed and approved by the treating physician.

Your privacy
Patient information is handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy and health information legislation. Appropriate safeguards are maintained to protect the security and confidentiality of patient information. The tool used is secure and Health Canada compliant.

Patients are asked to acknowledge this notice when booking an appointment. If you have questions about how AI-assisted documentation is used in your care, or if you would prefer to discuss it with your physician before your visit, please contact the clinic at 236 429 6505.
